Battery Bottom Balance Business

Buddy Balance

I am checking and balancing 22 Calb CA60 cells for a friend.

First I am checking each cell voltage and label it. There was one cell with a higher voltage.

While I was charging the whole pack in series, I already had to balance this cell with a 0,1 ohm resistor because the voltage was going up in the sky.

At the end I had a pregnant cell.

A sure sign for a dead cell.(

Tesla Fuse Connection

Tobias  has a battery module from a Tesla Roadster.

The 18650 batteries are connected with a small wire to the main board that works like a fuse. When the current is getting too high because of a bad cell, the wire melts and this battery is out of the pack.
